「仮定法過去完了」は「仮に～であったならば…だっただろう」というように、過去の事実とは逆の仮定を表します。「仮に～であったならば」の条件節の動詞は過去完了、「…だっただろう」の帰結節の動詞は「過去形助動詞(would、should、could、might) ＋ have + 過去分詞」を用います。
